Wallcovering and beyond
Bring us the surface challenge, even when the answer is not yet clear. We explore the right visual language, material character and production path for the project.

Desinada is the interior designer’s go-to surface partner—wallcovering and beyond—for projects that cannot be solved from a standard catalogue.
Surface concept · Custom development · Production guidance
01 / Where we come from
Desinada was founded by Sonny Wamback, a Belgian surface designer with more than three decades of experience in wallcoverings, textiles and decorative surfaces.
Raised in the world of wallpaper and trained in monumental arts, Sonny built his career between European wallcovering houses, custom hospitality projects and international production networks across Europe, China, Thailand and the Middle East.
After years of creating collections, murals and surface concepts for high-end interiors, Desinada was created as a new kind of surface studio: one that connects atmosphere, material, technique and production reality from the first idea to the final wall.
The studio works with interior designers, architects, hotel developers and project teams to create wallcovering concepts, murals, textures and material directions that feel refined, project-ready and deeply atmospheric.

02 / Why Desinada
From a custom wallcovering or mural to textile, natural fiber, cork, metallic and dimensional finishes, we give interior designers one creative and technical partner for the complete surface conversation.
Explore a Project TogetherBring us the surface challenge, even when the answer is not yet clear. We explore the right visual language, material character and production path for the project.
Pattern, color, substrate, finish, scale and production are developed together, reducing the gap between the visual idea and the final surface.
Murals, patterns, plains and textures can be coordinated as one material language across rooms, zones and applications.
We continue through sampling, refinement, specification and production guidance so the concept retains its character when realized.
03 / Expertise
We support design teams from the first atmosphere conversation through sampling, specification and production.
01Atmosphere, color, texture and material stories developed as one coherent design language.
02Original wallcoverings, murals, patterns, plains and coordinated surface families for specific projects.
03Direction across textile, natural fiber, metallic, cork and dimensional surface possibilities.
04Sampling, specification and production guidance that carries the original idea into a resolved surface.
04 / Inside the studio
The worktable is where atmosphere becomes tangible. Marks, pigments, fibers, scale and finish are explored through real samples before a direction moves toward specification and production.

05 / Our perspective
We begin with how a space should feel: quiet or expressive, grounded or luminous, intimate or expansive. From there, we define the visual language, material character and production approach that can make that feeling tangible.
“A surface should belong to the architecture—not simply decorate it.”
06 / How we work
01Listen closelyWe understand the project, its audience, architecture and desired emotional tone.
02Develop with purposeEvery pattern, texture and finish is selected to support the complete atmosphere.
03Resolve the detailScale, substrate, color, performance and production are considered as part of the design.
04Support realizationWe stay connected through sampling, refinement, specification and production.
Begin a collaboration
Bring us a live brief, a mood, a material question or a surface challenge. We’ll explore what is possible for the project.
